Accreditation and Licensing
French Education in Austin
Austin International School's academic programme is fully accredited (homologué) by the French Ministry of Education. Our school and educators receive ongoing support from our partner organizations, the Agence pour l'Enseignement Français à l'Étranger (Agency for French Education Abroad) and the Mission Laïque Française (French Secular Mission).
Austin International School's early childhood program (maternelle) is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). As part of our strategic plan for 2016-2021, we will be seeking additional accreditation from the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest* (ISAS) and the Council of International Schools (CIS).
*ISAS is a regional accrediting organization for the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).
Austin International School is a licensed daycare facility which meets State of Texas legal requirements monitored and enforced by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (TDFPS).
The Austin International School Association is an entity established and recognized with the Texas Secretary of State and is licensed to operate as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization by the United States Internal Revenue Service (74-2871730).
Austin International School is a member of the following professional organizations:
