Summer Reading Program
Elementary School: Cycle 2
Students entering CP-CE2 (1st grade - 3rd grade) will have recommended reading (not required) with some resources and recommendations provided and a reading log to complete over the summer (linked below). For additional, grade-specific details, please select the button below for the grade level(s) that your child(ren) will be entering next year.
1st grade 2nd grade 3rd grade
Elementary School: Cycle 3
Students entering CM1-CM2 (4th grade - 5th grade) will have required reading in English with a corresponding task to complete over the summer. In French, it is recommended (not required) that students read one long book, and a list of recommended texts is provided. In Spanish, it is recommended (not required) that students read two books, either an audiobook or an e-book, using the free online resources provided. For additional, grade-specific details, please select the button below for the grade level(s) that your child(ren) will be entering next year. Students should also keep track of their reading through a summer reading log, which you will find linked below.
4th grade 5th grade
Middle School: Cycles 3 and 4
Students entering 6è-4è (6th grade - 8th grade) will have required reading in French, English, and Spanish. For French and English, there will be a corresponding task. Students in Spanish Foundations and Spanish Language and Literature classes will also have one required reading in Spanish, depending on which class they enter. You will find out which Spanish class your child is in once they take their placement test, and students should read the book corresponding to their class.
