There is no prerequisite to speak French to join our pre-school. Students in first grade (CP) and above must have previous French language experience at a particular level to meet academic demands in order to be accepted. The level of French is tested prior to enrollment. Entrance to Kindergarten (GS) is assessed on a case-by-case basis but is still subject to French testing. Grade level placement is determined by the age of the student as of December 31.

Children must be fully potty trained prior to acceptance. No exceptions.

Priority admission will be given to families with children currently enrolled until early Spring. This priority also extends to any siblings of current students. After that date, the school will begin to enroll students on our waiting list.

The Austin International School’s admission policy is non-discriminatory. We welcome students without regard to gender, race, religion or national origin.
