The class age ranges are guidelines from the French Ministry of Education. The student to teacher ratios are guidelines from the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Special circumstances may cause a request for an exception to be individually evaluated.
Children entering PS must already have independent toilet usage skills.
Children entering GS are assessed on a case-by-case basis but are still subject to French testing.
