School Closure - Friday, February 3, 2023
Dear AIS Community,
First and foremost, we hope that you are safe and warm.
With the worst of the winter storm behind us, we have been closely monitoring power issues and impacts on school districts in the Austin area. We have also been to visit the campus, where there are many fallen trees that make different areas of the campus unsafe--in particular both playgrounds.
With the continued safety of our students and staff in mind, AIS will remain closed on Friday, February 3rd, 2023. School district closures also directly impact all AIS staff members who have children in local schools, making it very difficult to staff our program. We anticipate a return to our regular school schedule on Monday, February 6th.
We will be sending a second communiqué shortly to request the support of any community members who would like to help with a campus cleanup tomorrow at 1pm.
