Expanding Minds. Broadening Perspectives.
Thank you for your interest in Austin International School. Please enjoy looking around our website to get a feel for the program and environment we offer. We are happy to answer any questions in-person by appointment and by phone or email.
Austin International School was founded in 2001 with a handful of students in a small building in the Hyde Park area. Ten years later, and in a larger north Austin location, the school is the academic home for 170 students who come from America and all over the world. We offer an international curriculum built from the standards of the French Ministry of Education and American and Texan programs, delivered in French, English and Spanish. Our unique program is fully harmonized at all grade levels, providing a cohesive learning experience from the full-time academic program for maternelle (prekindergarten) accredited by the NAEYC and the French Ministry of Education to the rigorous and dynamic scholastic challenges of an elementary education leading to middle school.
Our admissions director is Christine Christy. Christine is the coordinator of English pedagogy at AIS and will be able to furnish you with in-depth information on our curriculum, philosophy and admissions process.
