The Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is an active voluntary organization whose membership is open to all parents/guardians. Its purpose is to assist in creating a community of lifelong learners, creative thinkers and committed citizens. The organization is committed to building school spirit, fostering a strong and supportive community, and enriching the educational life of the AIS community by organizing special events and programs. It exists to support the educational goals directed by the administration, and to organize social and fundraising events which strengthen and support the school.
While monthly PTO meetings are open to all parents, only PTO members may participate. The meetings include discussion of issues that parents bring forward, event planning, project development ideas for the future, and periodic updates from the head of school. All parents, especially those new to the AIS community, are encouraged to get involved in the life of the school through the PTO.
See the AIS-PTO 2011-2012 activities on the General School Calendar (PTO activities + Special Events). Please note that the calendar is subject to change and we will do our best to post changes as soon as possible.
