School Life
From Academics to
Enrichment
The day to day activities of school life here at AIS
is filled with academics, play and many after school activities and events.
In addition, students attend field trips, take part in competitions and explore
the arts.
A Different Kind of
Calendar
The school calendar at AIS is
a combination of the French school calendar from the French Ministry of
Education and an American school calendar. At AIS, we follow the Round
Rock Independent School Districts guide to holidays and school closures. AIS
also has five school breaks each year: Fall Break, Thanksgiving Break, Winter
Break, Spring Break, and May Break. During our Fall, Spring and May
Breaks, there is a special camp provided at the school at an additional cost for
those who enroll.
Fun is Not Just for
Students
AIS holds many events and
activities for parents and staff throughout the year. It all begins with
our International Potluck Dinner where parents, teachers, staff and students
have the opportunity to try different foods from around the world and get to
know one another. Later there is the Thanksgiving Luncheon, the Parent
Breakfast, and the Parent-Staff Social (adults only). Also, language
classes are offered to parents who have interest, and our Halloween Parade has
both parents and children partaking in the fun.
Volunteering
There are so many
opportunities to give of your time as a parent at AIS, in ways that truly enrich
school life. Through the parent association, L'association de parents
d'élèves (APE), you also find many ways to contribute to your
child's education.
